Radi...this is for you bro ...I did what they said in your link but I did not jumper the wires...I just unplugged the module...all is good as long as I can turn on the lights at night on the dash and that works great. So one down and 10 to go on my quest to make my WJ running well...A/C will be soon but I have to figure out how to replace the tailgate striker...got no wreckers in North Vancouver Island that has a 93 Grand Cherokee! . The key lock works ok and I have the tailgate stripped down but the gate will not close...I think the spring on the striker is broke. I spent 7 hours to release the Tailgate as the mechanism was rusted pretty bad... it was sitting for 4 years and nobody lubed the key-lock and actuator etc!

Glad you got it resolved!
10 isn't bad. My list is approaching that as well. Leaky axle seals, which I'll get to when I do the U-joints, which I'll do after I get to the tranny mount, which can wait until I replace the rotted muffler......... it never ends, lol.

A new wrinkle!
I was given another daylight running light module to test my system. I turned off the ignition and swapped out the module with the new one and proceeded to plug in the connector and when I did the headlights came on...WTF? I waited for 4 or 5 minutes just to see if they would go off...no way!
NE1 got any ideas as to why this is happening? Is it a stuck headlight relay?
What am I missing?

If you're suggesting it to the other posters, this thread is 11 years old. The last post before yours is from 2012 so you may not get any response.

actually yes, i STILL do, after many many years of ignoring the problem, and several jump starts included.
i haven't taken the unit out yet, but it looks as if it is not an OEM part. it's too 'shiny'. i'm assuming it has been replaced at some point, but not since i've owned the vehicle for well over 10 years now.
i'll report back after i remove and disconnect the module. it has started raining and i have no cover in the driveway.
