I've been following this thread. I'm glad to see such detailed help.

Beware if get the light crazy stuff. And burning etc. Had that with my jeep, same year and model. 1994 Jeep Cherokee, 2WD Sport. A whole issue. Chrysler's infinite wisdom built the voltage regulator into the ECU Computer. What happened with mine is apparently had a bad ground on the battery or somewhere else. had that light flickering thing once in a while. Just could not find the cause. Then on the freeway, flickered and died. And huge amount of white smoke, electrical smell. It poured out from under the hood. Obviously something burning. Pulled over but I did not open the hood. eventually did after smoke stopped, the computer was smoking. I did not have my fire extinguisher that day and I needed it. Long story short, the computer caught fire and committed suicide. Only thing me and the mechanic I had could figure was because of the voltage regulator in the computer, and a bad ground, the voltage output from the alternator was fluctuating so bad due to a failed ground or voltage regulator circuit. With the crazy voltage spikes high, then low, the computer was monitoring the alternator output and basically spiked itself with voltage/ current by making the alternator crazy run-away. So sent itself crazy voltage/current and fried itself. Scared me because it was on fire. Called the fire department being too afraid to open the hood. If that light fluctuating voodoo starts again , stop.

First off glad to hear its running. But....if this lady's observations are correct something has to be wrong. The flickering lights, burning smell, no start, suddenly starts, etc. Time will tell."

... Yes, I'm aware of where your movie reference came from. I'm talking about the gibberish on the end of half of your posts.
