help! jeep not starting.
Ok so this is the deal. I just mooved my jeep so they can plow where I was. While I was waiting I shut the jeep off and like a minute after I went to start it back up and move back to my spot and I get nothing when I turn the key. I hear the fuel pump kick on but nothing else. So I try a few things and end up putting it in neutral(its an automatic) and it starts right up. So I move it to my spot and shut it back off and now I still have nothing when its in park and all it does is crank and crank when in neutral. And won't fire. I pumped the gas a couple times and smelled gas so I know its getting fuel. What the hell could it be??

Ya'all sure about this?
NSS's actually keep the motor from cranking to begin with, right?
I'm saying this because MY NSS is bad. I often have to do the classic, "turn key, push button and jiggle trick", to get it to crank. Until i do this, the starter does NOTHING... this is what the NSS is designed to do!
I suggest that we back up a bit and check for a Spark first, and go from there!
Just trying to help a brother out...

I agree with jfxj67.
The NSS should keep it from cranking at all..however it's said that the jeep cranks in neutral, just doesn't start...it does sound like he has a combination of that and something else though considering it doesn't even crank in park.
