What effort?

1. Put ozone machine in car.
2. Plug it in.
3. Leave it for a couple of hours.
4. Unplug and remove.
5. Open doors to air it out.

Odors are then gone.

Crime scene cleaning services use ozone generators on murder scenes to remove the smell of dead bodies from buildings.

I call bull**** due to the fact that your first response to the OP makes absolutely no sense in light of this statement. If this is true, why would you have recommended a dryer sheet?

How many people own an ozone machine? If you rent it, you have to return it. Thus, there is more effort iinvolved. Plus, the cost is higher. 'Nuff said.

BTW, my wife is on the national registry of HazMat. I know a little about cleaning.

Because its simple, effective for mild odors, and most everybody has Febreeze (or similar) and dryer sheets on hand. The answer to all automotive issues is not "run out and buy something made by Meguiars!" kid, and most Jeeple have a propensity for making use of what they have at their disposal. True whether you're in your garage or stuck in the weeds somewhere.

You want to throw the BS flag be my guest. I can back up everything I post in these threads, I'm 36 and have been bending wrench since I was a kid. I restore vintage Mustangs and other Fords for a living, doing everything from upholstery to replacing frames. There is no one solution for every problem, period. Start simple, if that doesn't work move on from there.

So there, lol.

Don't forget the simple stuff. a clogged drain hose from the evaporator box can cause some nasty smells after running the ac too.

We're Texans guys, that's just how we do. Knock each other in the teeth, then have a beer together.
