Help with motor knock
So i have a stock 1996 jeep cherokee sport manual transmission and sometimes when i take off from 1st gear i hear a knock and also sometimes when i rev it it knocks in the front would this be a motor mount? it doesnt happen everytime

It may be the exhaust hitting the crossmember. On my 95 5-spd when I first start the engine my exhaust knocks.
You can take a prybar and see if you have play in the engine mounts or tranny mount.
I heard that if you pop the hood while the engine is running and the engine shakes, the motor mounts are bad. I can only say there is no shaking on my 95.
