Eliminate the C101 connection. Nothing but a gremlin for random electrical problems. Very simple to do. Cruisers renix tip #27 covers it well.

Depends on your soldering skills. Don't worry about how long it takes. Just focus on getting your connections right. That being said if you are super slow it can be done within 4 hours. It's around 11 to 13 wires IIRC. Cruiser can confirm

It took me about an hr and a half to eliminate mine. Something I did was clean the wires really well so it is easier to match everything up. I agree though, don't worry how fast you are but rather that you don't mismatch any wires so take your time.

Did it today.Not too bad once i got in the groove.Just so ya know Cruiser,that makes steps 1,2,3,4,5,6,8,11,15,18,27,DONE..Next is 25 and see if that helps my blowby.Seems like she runs smoother every thing i do.Lucky?251,000 now so maybe just getting broke in.By the way guys,mines a 1988,do the tips.

I am just going to put this out there but the when I tested my CPS I used a cheapo digital volt meter Innova or something, it only tested at .2 while cranking so I bought a new CPS. Installed and still tested at .2, used a different probably almost as cheap volt meter and it read .4 while cranking.
Ended up being my coil, when I tested the spark it was there but it was really really faint, when testing from the coil. Funny enough the coil on it was not that old but the one I replaced it with was an original from an 89 haha.

I'm going to get a new meter today and test it. Then if it reads good, I'm going to get a new coil.

Could something possibly be wrong with the flywheel causing the CPS to be getting a low signal?

OK, I'm stumped. I bought a new better quality meter and tested it and the highest reading I got from the CPS was .204 AC volts. How can I be getting a reading that low from a brand new Mopar CPS?
