help on shocks

Default help on shocks

money it's tight right now,but i already lift it
i got a 4 inch lift (i think)got it for free from another jeep....
the shocks on the other jeep (missing)so i don't know what size do i need
went to the local auto parts.they don't have the time to tell me or go on the books
any1 know if i can get them like .....xanple
95 dodge on the back
ford 92 on the front

i am trying to do it cheap for now...i want to drive it to pismo dunes
this weekend thanks for the help

95 f150 shocks make sure to get the longest ones there are a few different ones you need the ones from the 4 wheeldrive v8 i beleive but not positive make sure to measure what the parts store has and get the longest ones also i beleive you have to reuse the barpins from your stock shocks they should just pull out of the shock sometime you have to burn out the old bushing to get them out

or just use white lithium grease or some WD40 and spray a decent amount all over the bushing and then use some pliers to turn the bar-pin out

the shocks from the f 150 are for the front or the back
or the 4 shocks will fit the 4 corners

the ones for the front and rear are different you will need to front shocks and two rear shocks make sure to get the longest they have because there are different sizes the ones you need are for the 4x4 with the 5.8 motor i beleive but make sure when you get them

Jack it up and measure the length the shock has to be and I can give you some numbers to reference.

you should buy..

shocks for a 4" lift, from basically any jeep aftermarket supplier.
