Ok so on my 95 cherokee xj 4.0 i put a radiator leak stopper into the coolant tank instead of the radiator on accident, and ever since it over heats as soon as you start driving. I checked all the lines and they are just about dry. So its not like they are clogged.. Any ideas? I changed my thermostat and that was also fairly dry. Its just not getting any coolant

Does it actually have coolant in the proper quantity? Full to top under the radiator cap?

Is there actually coolant in your system? The 'coolant tank' is just an overflow tank. Remove the silver coolant cap and fill it up from there with the engine running so it circulates through the entire system.

If you have a leak just spend the $60 or whatever for a new radiator. Replacing them is beyond easy and just requires a few bolts being removed and the trans coolant lines being removed from the rad.

The stop leak will probably eventually get your heater core.
