Testing the TPS is definitely a good idea. The PCM sets the IAC position based on how it thinks the throttle is. There's a good writeup on here by tjwalker with instructions

That's the FSM that cost about $70-100 when our vehicles were new. According to mine you can call 800-890-4038 to place an order.

Has anybody purchased the manual from this website and had good results? For example, nobody stole your credit card info and bought video games with it, the pdf file didn't have viruses, etc? Just asking cause I do cyber for a living and I am always skeptical.

Another reason I am skeptical, Pacific Coast Manuals advertises the manual for $7.95. The phone number from md21722 mentioned a techauthority.com website which advertises the printed manual or the cd for $88. Do we really get $88 worth of manual for $7.95 from pacific coast manuals? Maybe I'll call pacific coast manuals and feel them out.

Depends on what you want.

At least one of the very senior members of the Forum has recommended the $7,95 FSM.

I haven't gotten around to ordering one yet but I'm pretty sure others have. What is your clue that this is a rip-off?

If nervous about giving card info, looks like the perfect place to use one of the single-use generated cards that my bank and anti-virus program keep pressing me to use. Won't help with your virus infested pdf file.

First clue is "tradebit", billing processing in Germany. If I steal your info, what are you going to do?, I'm in Germany. Second clue is the youtube video that is supposed to show you the manual is not available cause the account associated with it has been terminated. Third clue is I can't find a phone number anywhere on pacific coast manual's website to call them and feel them out. All seems very "buyer beware" to me.

If someone on here has ordered from them and had good success, please sound off. I would really like to get the manual for 8 bucks.

Friends, Americans, Jeep enthusiasts, lend me your ears....
I come here to speak praises to Shell Rotella. Yes I have heard all those comments about how it doesn't matter a whole lot which oil you use as long as it is the right grade for the climate you live in, but let me tell you this:

I had to change my oil filter adapter seal this past weekend. I had read on here about how good Shell Rotella was, so I figured I would give it a try. After straining my milk to get the adapter bolt off and replace the O-ring, I poured in some Shell Rotella T-5 10W30. I drove to the beach yesterday to do some surf fishing, about a 180 mile round trip and Oh... My... Goodness. I actually had to pull over to the side of the road and listen carefully to hear if my engine was running or not. I seriously thought my engine had stalled, even though my tac said I was getting rpm's. That baby was running like a sewing machine drinking sweet Tennessee Whiskey and singing Rocky Top. This Cherokee has never run that smooth since I rescued her from the previous owner about 4 years ago. I could not believe it. I had been using just regular 5W30 up until now. I read the 2000 FSM and it actually says 10W30 is preferred. Oh, and check this out, I got 2 gallons of Shell Rotella for $15 total at Autozone. I had a $20 credit on my rewards card and it was also on sale!!! I must also express my thanks to the people that created this forum. With out them I never would have read this thread and found out about why I was leaking oil from the filter adapter, nor would I have learned about Shell Rotella. So here's to you Forum creaters/owners and Shell Rotella, SALUTE!
