Not sure where I found it, I did a search on wiring jeep cherokee's and came across it. Thats what happens when you spend 40 hours a week infront of a computer. Things are coming and going and can't remember how.
Dude, your lucky having a girlfriend/wife that would want a jeep like that.

Pffftt. Until we got our Cherokees 91 Laredo--hers 94 Sport---mine.
You should see what she wanted in vehicles. OMFG!!! Check out other vehicles section for our last wagon.
Heck shes a farmers daughter that used to say, "If it runs like a Deere, I'll shoot it from the seat of our IH."
She keeps asking me to reinforce her pushbar... Don't wanna know why.

Scoops a "sticky"
As for the 305 vs 302....Needs a Mopar number 318/340/360 or could CRAM a 440. Possibilities are truly endless when it comes to something like that.
For example: I was able to shoe-horn a SBC 305 into a 1982 Chevy Citation retaining FWD configuration.
Keeping with the XJ tech requirement, I will not post pics of it HERE but if anyone wishes they can PM me for a looksee.
