lol, getting a code from your computer doesnt diagnose it properly anyways, alot of times even with a scan too u still got to use other meanns of diagnostics to get it right, the code just points you in the right direction, rarley does it ever actually diagnose it fully for you.

I used to work on cars, never really did alot of aftermarket stuff, but i mean i have had to follow a electrical bug through the wires in a frame of a old f-350 dully flat bed.(yes it was so bad i remembered it) when i had my civic it threw 2 codes and the dip brains at AZ said "you need a new comp!" i was like "screw you, you just told me where to look" turns out there was a short in one of the accessory harnesses and it was grounding through a bracket in the motor.

See I told you that you were smart. Get a scanner and a printout of all the codes and their meaninmgs if you have a OBD vehicle.
Since you have a Renix look at our (CF's) stickies for a list of Renix diagnstic aids and then print out the parameters for each sensor and keep those in your glovebox. Then when it starts running badly or fails to start or something else you have the tools to decide what the problem is. Also keep a cheap multimeter in your glovebox too.

i never go cheap on tools especially! besides i got this cool one from radio shack thats a auto-ranging multimeter that is 1/2 thick, 2" tall and 4" long, its in it's own case, pretty cool, i like it, compact and easy to store, besides i barley get a chance to drive my dd, i have a company truck that i drive everyday so i dont put hardley any miles on it (thats how i can afford to have a 6 cylinder) but i still really really want that comanchee, my first veichle was a comanche, i'll swing by next week and take pics
