For anyone in the Syracuse, NY area, I have a good used 4.0 shortblock that's up for grabs. Just come and get it! I was going to try to sell it, but I don't have the time to answer calls and e-mails from Craigslist so I'm giving it away before it rusts too bad. It's sitting in my driveway under a blue tarp. It only needs rings and bearings and a good cleanup. I don't think it needs pistons either. PM me if you're interested.

I also have a 2000 42re that was functioning well before it was pulled. Also free, but not on premises. Both these items have 250K miles on them and have had immaculate care while in service.

These are from a WJ so the block won't fit an XJ without special mounts and the 42re shifts by cable. I'm interested in aquiring an NP242 for my XJ as well.
