High nox at 15 mph and cat, evap, and o2 monitor not ready
Hey all I drive a 98 Cherokee automatic with the 4.0. attached are my results for smog in California. I failed due to
cat evap and o2 readiness incomplete, and had high nox levels at 15mph. I don't have any check engine lights, and I have replaced both o2 sensors. The idle is a little rough as well. Not really sure how to fix either of those so any help would be appreciated. I was told to check for an exhaust leak before the cat but can't seem to hear or find one after looking for a while.

Looks like you failed for a couple of reasons. It the cat converter intact and a CA approved model? High NO can be caused by a couple of things, include EGR valve not working right and a bad cat. Also, looks like you reset the codes and the engine computer had not completed the OBD self tests?

The guy at the shop says it used to be Cali approved and since it was installed prior to the 2019 order taking it off the approved list so he said it was fine and since it's relatively new it shouldn't be the problem. I reset the codes after I fixed the O2 sensors and I didn't know that it needed to let it run for a bit to have the systems reset. So I'm driving it another 70 miles or so
