Default High Oil Temp/ Pressure

Hi all, this is for my 2000 XJ 4.0 4x4 3" lift 31" tires

For the past few weeks now my Oil Pressure gauge (the gauge in the top left of my dash) has been reading high, actually maxed out per the gauge at 80 (psi?).

I have taken it to my local Autozone and the guy had no idea what the issue was. I asked a few of my more mechanically inclined friends and they weren't sure either.
It does not overheat, there is no smoke coming out of the Jeep at all and the oil level itself reads at a good level on the dipstick.

Is this a real issue or is it just a sensor with a glitch?

Odds are the sensor is dead. I would check it with a mechanical gauge and if its okay replace the sensor.

99% chance it's the sensor. Easy to replace, about 5 minutes and a wrench is all its needed

The top left gauge is the volt meter, not the oil pressure gauge. The oil pressure gauge is on the right side. Which one are you looking at?

If it said 80 at the top it was oil. Op may be directionally impaired but we figured it out.
