hinge question
ok so heres the deal. i have a 94 xj country and someone who had it before me welded the hinges on to the jeep for the two front doors. one of them has broke so i now climb in and out the window of the driver door or one of the passenger doors. so my question is what are the chances of welding hinges off a wrangler on to my jeep so i then have detachable doors? on a side note is anyone else getting 5 mpg out of there xj driving through town at stock height with stock tires and such?

i thought about doing that but since i have to replace two hinges with new ones anyways wouldnt it just be easier to do it with wrangler hinges instead. i know id have to put a plate on the door to make it stronger where the bolts go but thats not problem either

im searching around for a set of hinges off a 4 door wrangler right now so i can start then i have to find someone with a welder. my dads welder is out of wire so i cant use it until he buys more. should be started on this project soon though. planning to park the jeep for the summer and work on it to get a lift tires and the doors done.

You know you can just buy tube doors for a Cherokee don't you? no need to mod anything.
