Hissing from gas tank... Help...

Hissing from gas tank... Help...
There is a hissing/air leak sound coming from the top of my gas tank, at first I thought it was my exhaust, but it’s not. I can hear it and I’m not sure what it is. There is no smell of gas. Is it going to cause damage? It is a 92 XJ Cherokee, please help.

I think it’s too loud to be a gas pump... you can hear it when your walking up to it if you listen for it. It’s a loud Air-Leak sound.
