Hole in Muffler affect Cat Conv ?

Got a hole in the muffler and slowly splitting the casing. Have ordered the Dynomax cat back system will be here in a few days, with $75 rebate too at JEGS!
As per the Cat will any damage occur to it running with the Holy Muffler ?

does your jeep sound louder. whats it sound like make a recording id love to hear. ive been thinking of drilling a hole right after cat and before muffler to make it louder, since it already has a big throaty deep rumble even with a full mufler on it and a cat on it also.
