I was bored today and decided I would try to fab a cold air box out of materials I had laying around the garage. (cardboard, aluminium foil tape, grinder, and dremmel)
I cut an opening in the sheet metal where the stock intake box use to reside. Then took my time forming some cardboard templates and wraped them in the foil tape. If it works well enough, Ill buy some aluminium and fab it that way. I dont expect a huge boost in horse power but maybe an improvment in mpg might show itself.
I still have some tweeks to do and some anchor points to add so the light cardboard doesnt take flight.

I made a cover/filler plate for when it gets wet and or muddy. Its getting really warm here and wanted to help out the 4.0L's breathing while driving around town.
