well got some pics
all cost about 45 bucks
parts included:
New filter ->Spectre
breather -> Spectre
4 inch extention
1/2 wide steel bent into costom bracket
Took me about 2 hours (majority was fabing that bracket)

haha actually its plastic but abs so its not to bad (ment to go on a rice mobile) but its 3inch in diameter and 4 inches long didnt pit perfectly to the orginal hose so i wraped it an about 1/4th inch of electical tape and it fit perfectly i have no dought it will be air tight

well thats nice you made it,, but, I suggest you get or make a heat shield bc your now sucking big hot air from the engine bay,, so I suggest you make a heat shield

i was looking at possibly making one but theres no passage for air to enter the main passage way is thro the grille and thats plugged up from my radiatior and trans cooler and so i dont think its really worth it unless you have any other ideas

Duct in air from the original hole that the airbox got it from or reverse the whole thing and move the air intake to the other side of the engine bay away fron the exhaust manifold.

yes that what I did on my friends zj I went over the valve cover to the other side of the engine..

Alright guys sorry it took so long but i finally made a heat shield out of some 26 gauge sheet metal its bolted in with 2 screws and 2 zip ties kinda half --- i know but it works
I also added another 4 inch extention to get a little farther away from the haet coming off the motor

I have thought about doing this but i wanted to do away with the ribbed flex hose. I have a bunch of 90* silicon couplers left from some turbo set-ups. then just run a Straight piece of Aluminum pipe. and run a AEM Brute force filter.

thanks guys it sounds cleaner espically with the added 4 inch spacer and eventually I do want to get rid of the flex hose just not in the budget right now but yeah it does make a difference better throttle responce and more low end power and at around 2000 RPMs I get a little sqeak its kinda cool I have read that guys with throttle body spacers get it too
