Hood flew open while driving 🤦♂️
My hood flew open while driving. Luckily I wasn’t going to fast and didn’t do too much damage. Cowl did break. Hood did not bend or dent but sits too far back when closed, far enough to rub on the cowl.
Do I have to replace the hinges and/or hood?

Depending on how/where the cowl's broken that might be the only problem.
Otherwise, should just be a matter of adjustment.

My thought is that the hood latch didn't latch all the way. Maybe the little stop on the bottom of the hood is too far out. Or the latch is worn out. I know someone who had that problem and that is what ended up happening.
