Randal....I'm confused. An 89 only has two wires to the CPS. Guess when you said "middle wire" you meant middle position (since the two go through a 3 wire plug)? Glad yo got it in any case, thanks for your input!

yes yer right......sorry.......I wuz referring to the middle position.
btw.......no stalls or thermal failure today.

Now I gotta get that new TPS in & adjusted....

Just a little tip. I just messed with my TPS a couple days ago. I guess the screws are aluminum or some alloy. One broke! You might spray it ahead and do it warm, then be careful! Not much fun!
