shut off engine after video

 

wasted day. should have taken a cab instead of catching a ride. won't start so the fuel pressure gauge I borrowed did me no good. I did get it to run for a second and watched the fuel pressure gauge and it didn't move (while idling roughly low). Borrowed OBDII, no codes found. Battery tested good.

Will not start at all now.

 

Just reading your post, sounds like your fuel pump has said goodnight, you should have seen fuel pressure at key on, and cranking, if it ran at all there should be pressure.

 

Might pay for AAA (as opposed to paying for 1 tow) and get my friend to diagnose the shop he is at. maybe/maybe not

 

chocolate milk in fuel filters a sign and checking codes is done for two reason seeing if there is any and if theres not that narrows it down to non computer controlled issue.

 

In a perfect world I would solve this spending no money..........

 

I can't confirm the first on the distributor cap so I will try to find top dead center (no experience). Will check ballast resistor (have to research that). If neither then map sensor cleaning.

Then..... how can I go about seeing if my fuel lines are clogged? I can intercept the fuel line at the pump to test with key in on position?

 

And the shop confirms no pressure at schrader /fuel pump

 

New pump and strainer 5 miles down. Fingers crossed still

 

Surprisingly easy to do when you don't drop the tank. Still wanna get in there one day looked rusty but not severe.
