How bad is it to run without a front sway bar??
The sway bar link on the passenger side is rubbing the spring really bad and I think its from the frame being tweaked a little. Cam I just leave it disconnected, cause redrilling holes or using relocation brackets seem like a real b****.

do you still have the rear sway bar in? i ran with both out for a while and other than a really noticeable body sway it was fine if you have the rear in you wont experience as much body sway

The body roll is one side effect, but the impending rollover in a sudden swerve is a very bad ending to a good day. All it takes is one idiot to cut you off in traffic or pull out in front of you and things get ugly quick.

I have been running without either sway bars, not a DD but not a trail rig. There is a lot more body roll but it is very managable with proper speed around turns and distance between cars. But it would be MUCH MUCH easier to roll if ovasive driving was needed, so I don't recommend driving without them for longer then need.

my jeep was mashed in the nose and it didn't bend the unibody that bad are you sure you can't just slide the swaybar away from the spring you do have some play side to side if you loosen everything up

My 2000 sport came with a rear swaybar, but I removed it. Now, I ran without my front swaybar for all of one day while I hunted down a pitman arm puller to finish installing my discos, and all I have to say is NEVER AGAIN! It felt fine at first, but you never know what will happen on the road. You can only be as safe as the driving skill of everyone around you on the road. I ended up hitting a puddle of water doing about 40 and came VERY close to rolling. My swaybar stays nice and connected now.

The sway bar on the country did have anything to do with the lift, they had a different set of rear leaves which gave it the lift.
The rear sway bar isnt an issue. I took mine off of my DD 20k miles ago and I didnt notice any difference.
The front is where you get into trouble. If you pull it and drive without, you will only notice a little more body roll under normal driving. If you need to swerve quickly the "little more body roll" will turn into huge body roll and can flip your jeep.
If you sway bar is rubbing your spring you likley have a lift? you need longer links, easy fix
