How to clean threads on AC lines
The AC lines on my 92 cherokee where the hoses connect to the condenser need to be cleaned. When I removed the old condenser the threads on the condenser just sheared off and there's a bunch of debris in the hose threads. I can't use a thread chaser because the pipe sticks out the middle of the connector on the hose side. I was thinking of just spraying wd-40 in there and trying to wipe it out, but does anyone have any better ideas?

I had to use an angled picking tool to scrape the threads clean on mine. It did the job rather well.
Just a tip for you, be very careful when tightening the new condensor in, mine began to twist even with a spanner on it but only a little bit. Too much and it would have split.

Okay I had that thought as well, good idea. I'll grab some from harbor freight today. And yeah I learned that lesson a few years ago replacing the condenser on another XJ. They are easily bent
