How do I take apart dash to get to blower switch?
Just as the title indicates.... I'm at work with some down time so I figured I could ask and then when I get to fix the switch, or see if its melted like usual (high doesn't work), I can get in there and get it done quickly. That is unless its already a simple job to remove the bezel that covers the Radio, A/C controls, etc...
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

Yes, just pry it off with a panel tool or putty knife. It just attaches with spring clips. Then a couple of screws hold the heater control in.

Yea, access to the blower switch is as described above. In my case, I only had HIGH fan speed. Replacing the blower motor resistor ($20 part) fixed my problem.

What year? On Pre 96 there’s multiple screws and the plastic piece that covers the steering column you have to take out before you pry on anything. Still a pretty easy task.

Sounds simple enough. We have about a foot of snow out right now and it's still coming down, so I don't believe I will be getting to it today. I'm going to pick up the switch and resistor and just change both. I have AC Delco P/N's ready to go for both.

Its not too difficult, use to pull the dash bezel on my 95 all the time. I'm going off memory and dealing with sins of the PO so you may have slightly different screws to deal with. You'll have to pull the shroud from around the steering column it uses t15 head screws and possibly a lone philips head, the tilt lever just unscrews. Then you'll have to pop the cover off the connector for the multi function switch and unscrew/unplug it. I found tilting the steering wheel down all the way helped get the bezel out. There are 4? philips screws to remove, one above the cig lighter, one above the head light switch and 2 above the cluster. After that its just a few spring clips over by the radio/ac controls and some wiggling to get the bezel out. I removed the radio when I did my fan speed switch just because it gave me a bit more room to deal with the a/c controls.
