I've found that Super Clean (used to be Castrol Super Clean) is even harder on finishes and oxidation of aluminum than Purple Power is, but in the same way. Some hobbyists use these products specifically to strip the paint off scale models. So, be careful!

I used a degreaser we made at my last job called orange 88, put it in a pressure bottle pump thingy, and sprayed it on all the oily spots and let it sit a few minutes. then sprayed it off on the shower setting with the water hose. of course I put a sandwhich bag over the dist. and plastic over the puter first. its strong stuff, it will pit soft metals. I wont use it again for that either.
