Default how do you fix code p1495

It says leak detection code and its the only code the comes up.no idea how to fix this and I have done research. Any suggestions?

That means there is a problem in your evap pump solenoid system. It could be a hose leak or bad pump.
Watch these 2 videos to give you an idea what to look for or replace.

If you are lucky it can be as simple as a bad gas cap. I had the same problem awhile back. I replaced the gas cap and it took care of my problem.

I just went through this. Vacuum elbow was disconnect. Reconnected it. Code wouldn't clear and it kept coming back after being erased. Replaced the vacuum pump with JY pocket discount. Same thing. Cleared the ecu. No more code. Now I have a spare pump.

I did see a very small crack in one of the vacuum hoses ill try taking a pic later.

Any help is much appreciated. I know this thread is old...

The second video has the evap solenoid upside down compared to the way mine was when I got it. On jeepforum.com, someone said positioning it upside down can cause issues. Can someone give a pic of what's right-side-up, and what's upside down?
