How do you ship heavy parts?
I have a guy in another state who wants my old leaf springs. Do any of you regularly ship heavy car parts? If so, what is a reliable and cost-effective way to do so?

Wrap them in a few layers of cardboard or brown paper and tape, attach shipping label, then UPS or Fed-Ex. US Postal gets expensive to odd-shape things exceeding certain dimensions.

The last four sets of springs I received had just the label on them in a couple places, as they could fall off during transit.

Bingo. Anything large and heavy like leafs, bumpers, wheels, tires. Couple labels with a couple layers of good tape over them and send them on their way.
