Stroking can get expensive however there are ways to get more "oomph". An engine is an air pump... the more air you can get into and out of it, the more potential you have to make power.

Several proven ways are this:
N/A Stroker Engine
A Turbo Engine
A Turbo Stroker Engine
A Supercharged Engine
A Stroked and Supercharged engine
Nitrous

All can be or are expensive... however there are a few more simple and less expensive things you can do. A performance camshaft will allow more air into and out of the engine. If you do this make sure to upgrade a few other things such as the air delivery, fuel delivery and the exhaust.

Adding a numerically higher gear ratio will add some "oomph" as well. If you just want some power every now and then, a simple nitrous spray bar under the TB is always a sure bet... a nice 50-75hp shot should be more than enough to get some ear to ear smiles. These can be set up to spray only when you floor the pedal or button activated by hand.
