Performance and response are noticeable.

Actually, I've eliminated it on 3 of my Jeeps and one of my friend's Jeeps with the 4.0. That crush is taking away about 40% of the volume of the pipe. It's really apparent with the pipe off the vehicle.

Be aware of this. You can have a muffler shop make you a replacement headpipe without the crush and route it the same if you have a 3" or larger lift. If not, the headpipe can be made in two 45* angles and will clear the driveshaft perfectly.

Right from an engineer at JeepTech when it happened. He is the one who suggested eliminating the crush.

Personally for mine I installed side louvre sticker vents and totally toasted a viper on the way home from work, don't forget about those!

Well, you need atleast 4 stickers. One in the front, back and sides. Extra HP points if the "R" is in red. Cause you know, red is the fastest color!

You people and your exhaust dents and hardware upgrades. Pfffffft. I'll stick with my PROVEN electric supercharger. It blows the doors off lambos now!

We took the down pipe off of some ZJ at the junkyard here and put it on the 2WD XJ. Noticeable response and part throttle torque increase when climbing slight hills. Doesn't need to downshift as much.
