at least a new harness for the back of head unit... but the stockies seem to have issues of their own, my fronts didnt work until i put in the pioneer

why not run a toggle switch to the wire on the amp from the fuse box for signal

That or splice the blue signal wire for amp with the ignition (usually red) that goes to the stereo itself.
