Did the smoke test and found no leaks. Still fighting these misfires. I dont know if this helps in anyway but when i changed the plugs about 3 weeks ago, the old ones were black as night. Only 5000 miles on them. Mean anything?

Running rich is what that tells ya . Either too much fuel, not enough air or not hot enough spark.

Sensor replacement/adjustment depending on year of jeep and type of sensor. If your having an issue of runnin to rich/lean, there's a chance it's the o2's. (I only looked at the the post above mine, so sorry if its irrelevant!)

Could the o2s go bad without throwing a code?

A better scanner will check sensors instead of just codes . Got a local shop you trust .?

Yes, o2's can go without tripping CEL. Most likely it's the pre cat sensor.

still got a rough idle. I found out that i have 3 o2s before the cat so its gonna be pricey to do all those. im thinking it might be the grounds, they both looks grimy as hell. anyone know how to get to the one in the back of the engine? i cant reach it at all
