You are a braver man than I buddy. I stay as far away from detailing bikes as I can. I could never seem to make my money out of it. Too many many cracks and crevices that all blinged out that show the faintest of a water spot.
I dont know if you are still into it or not but there are some great forums dedicated to detailing. It helps me stay up on the newest polishes and sealants.
I love Menzerna, they have the best abrasives hands down!
I used them on a Black Saleen Mustang for the first time and I was blown away. I had a total of 27 hours wrapped up in that detail. The engine compartment alone took 4. The owner had coated and coated the engine bay with some nasty silicone dressing over and over again without ever cleaning it. I literally had to use a razor blade to get it off in some spots.

Lol, that's awesome! I'm pretty sure that is why your name sounded familiar. Are you on autogeek or detailers domain? I don't have an Autopia account but may have seen it browsing around Autopia.
What wax did you put on her?

Menzerna Super Intensive Polish and Poorboy’s EX Sealant with Carnauba by Porter Cable 7424.
and I've been using Meguiars nxt 2.0 by hand for quickies.
Mind you this is far from what I'd usually do, just being lazy. I didn't even clay it lol
I haven't even done the hatch, front bumper and roof yet
Since I'm not on any schedule I do part by part over time, But since I just got the XJ on 7/3 It's been too hot and too busy to really sit and get into the paint the way I know it should be done. Most likey in the fall I'll really take care of it. But to be honest the paint has some nasty blems in it that are not correctable, clear pealing, dull spots, chips, scratched all the way down, rust specs from chips, aligatoring on the hood, scuffs from being sideswiped.
The five foot rule applies to the condition. Any closer and you can clearly see all the imperfections.

I'm not an experienced detailer, but I love me a clay bar... and I always use carnuba wax. When I was waxing my WJ, I was pissed when I went to grab the wax and found that the container of wax had a crack in it... nice hard container-shaped clump of wax inside.
Had to borrow the neighbor's wax and all he had was some crappy Black Magic clear coat polish that he "swore by." Took 3 coats for me to be any kind of happy with the hood.
