Before you push "submit reply", scroll down further into "Additional Options". Go under "thread subscription", then "notification type" and select the appropriate response.

I recently enacted a change in the Settings that I hoped would stop them, but still got a few, so not sure whats going on
hopefully there is no email about this post!
just to make it crystal clear, I want to preferably make an overall Setting that disables the Forum from notifying me about every reply to one of my posts

but not previous threads (still shows "instant email"), so that is a bit confusing ?
I just changed one individually, as suggested by the 1st guy that replied, see if it shuts that one up, the rest should die of old age

I went through the exact same thing as you awhile back. And it took me awhile to figure out the solution and I cant remember what exactly I did. I just spent 5 minutes trying to figure it out

When you get a notification from a thread you don't want, go to the thread via the link and unsubscribe by clicking the "subscribed" button.
However, I don't use any mobile version, just browsers on real computers.

Figured it out
You have to go to the subscription list
Hit the check all
Then go to the bottom and move to no email notification then hit go
You have to do it one page at a time

There's a setting buried somewhere to change it so that you don't subscribe by default. You can still subscribe to a thread manually after you do that.

old threads remain active though, until manually "reset", which is confusing
Once I know for sure that I am correct, I will update the thread with a screenshot to show what I did..if I can remember what it was!

Yes, thats what I did, and it seems to have reset my default to "no email"...on new threads

Then find the "Empty Current Folder" option to remove all the subscribed threads.
