i dont want my cut fenders to cut the tiress!!
i have a 92 xj with a 5 inch lift and 33's. of course i had to trim quite a bit in the front but now the bare metal where i cut is completely exposed to the tire at 3/4 - full flex. i tried grinding it down some but it still scares me a little bit because 33 inch bfgoodrich km2's are not cheap! ha the actual plastic fender wells just kind of cracked off while i was trimming so i have no plastic up under there it is just metal edges. any ideas on how to cover this up or do i just need to trim more? thanks guys

trim were you can trim, and then put some truck bed liner on the inside of the wells. Duplicolor has their bed liner in a spray can that isn't expensive. another option, depending on where the wheel rub is happening, some wheel spacers can help big time.
here is a link to some spacers that are pretty damn nice, and not as expensive as the Spider-Trax ones. anything form 1" to 2" of extra width. ---------> click it.

I haven't trimmed mine yet, but I bought Door Edge Molding to put along the sharp edge of the fender. It was $5 at Pepboys for 2 strips and it looks like one strip will fully cover the edge of one fender.

i trimmed quit a bit on mine im running 35s with a 5.5 RE long arm kit. i have some pictures on my profile. you should check them out. hopefully it can give you some ideas. the front fenders you can trim a lot on. i did change the bump stops to longer ones though. you might want to keep that in mind too. remember just take your time and im sure you will be happy with the outcome, i was.
