If you don't know already, you have to have thick skin to ride with the punches on this forum. The guys like to rib you at the slightest chance they get. My first year or so, I'd get really hot with a comment like that, but I've learned to roll with it or return the favor. The difference is whether it comes from a seasoned member or a newbie. I DO NOT like someone who changes my quotes! That's just wrong.

On another note, I'm wondering if that broad was the Zen Master's squeeze.

I hear yah man. No worries. Just caught me off guard... On a sidenote the Zen Master is married and he just hired this girl who is only 23. So not the squeeze, or at least that I know of. And before any of this drama started or anyone was drinkin, he was sayin some really perverted stuff about her to me and my bro in law...way more inappropriate then my boob comment. And he was sober. So yeah a bunch of irony and some strange dynamics went on that day. Anyhow my bro-in-law started talking to me again and said maybe by the end of next week they will work on the TJ. They were still looking for a transmission. So at least they are planning on getting the job done. That would be my good news for the day haha.

I think I just stepped into a soap opera. Susan Lucci, where are you when I need you?
  • Dave, did your dad come to your wedding?
  • lhpdiver, how did you end up so far away?
  • DCWinterXJ, I thought your brother-in-law was the black sheep of the family but not it seems you took his place.
I hope everything works out for the best with everyone.

PS Does anyone have an evil twin?

Dave, did your dad come to your wedding?

No, because my mother said if I invited him, I could count her out! 25 years later and they couldn't bury the hatchet! I sent him an announcement after the wedding. Happy now?

How is it I'm talking with 3 guys from Jersey? My cousin owns a Greek restaurant in Hoboken and I got lost in Jersey City trying to find it!

[QUOTE=DCWinterXJ;3558856 And before any of this drama started or anyone was drinkin, he was sayin some really perverted stuff about her to me and my bro in law...way more inappropriate then my boob comment..[/QUOTE]

Good news they're still taking care of the needed Jeep work.

As far as the drama, if the young lady didn't hear the perverted commentary, she couldn't have taken offense, so it really doesn't matter how perverted the ZM was if it was the young lady complaining about the boob comments which she obviously DID hear. Also, if you're unsure about what you might have said or did due to being intoxicated, it might have been something worse (or perceived to be worse) that was what caused offense.

It's never a good idea to get black-out drunk around people you don't know very well that you're trying to make in-roads with.

I agree 100%. Though I wasn't blackout drunk. Things would have been much worse or I would have just starting eating the sandwiches in the shop fridge. Hhaha Did I mention everyone else was drinking too? I guess I gotta scroll up. The girl drank almost a whole pint of Jameson...but I think she threw up and then started drinking again. Jeepmaster had half a bottle of Scotch and the other guy had like 7 twisted teas. Anyway I am just patiently waiting for the jeep to leave my driveway and come back with a transmission. I will be sure to let you all know when that special day comes....oye
