Default I need a new wheel bearing

2 of the studs on my front driver side wheel bearing are stripped and I need an entire new bearing. I was looking at some different kinds on autozone.com but I have no clue how to choose. anyone have advice on which kind I should get?

thanks

Not one from AutoZone.

Get the best one from O'Reilly's. Precision, IIRC.

idk what the quality of stock bearings are, but will there be any problems having a stock one on the right side and "the best one from o'reilles" on the left?

IMO just do both and keep the other side as a spare. It goes fairly quickly so long as the bolts aren't rusted and siezed up. If I can recall correctly you need:

3/4 socket for lugnuts
36mm socket for axle shaft nut
12mm 12 point socket for hub bolts
On a '99 13mm socket for the caliper bolts
Hammer for popping the old hubs out (sometimes this can be hard to do)

It could take a little bit of time if the bolts are stripped

is the only problem that the studs are stripped? if so you can just replace those.

to replace studs, just knock the stripped ones out with a BFH then pull the new ones in with a stack of washers and a lugnut

These. If the studs are the only problem, you can replace just those.

Are you talking about the wheel studs or the bearing bolts? If wheel studs just hit them out with hammer and use the washers to pull it threw. If its the wheels bearing bolts then what you can, with a cut off wheel get cut a X into the head and air hammer to knock it off. You can also try it with a bolt removal socket but it doesn't always work.
