No, not for your purposes. Just make sure the pins in the cluster connectors are clean (not black) or bent.


Verify the pin cavities in the cluster connector docks are not black or the pin cavities are not enlarged.


Make sure there is no dielectric grease residue on the pins or cavities.

there pins are good. but there may be some residue in the connectors. i will try to clean them better again.

Try disconnecting the middle electrical connector on the ECU and with it disconnected turn the key to run. If your gauges come up that could be your problem. It could just be dirty or corroded pins on the ECU connection. Mine was

to anyone following this, I purchased a used cluster from ebay and it works fine now.

Did your cluster "pass" the cluster test by pressing the trip button while turning on?
