I need some help
Ok first off I would like to thank every ones post on here they have helped me a tone.
Ok I have owned my 93 cherokee sport with the 4.0 high out put for 5 years with little to no problems all that I have done is a 3in lift with 31x10.50 r15 that's it besides the tune ups and to coils.
Well as of last week it has a new clutch kit with master and it engages a few inch off the floor is this normal
It has a new o2 because it was running rough and running rich. It still does is there a way to clear the computer ?
I did a new valve cover gasket and checked all the rockers by pushing them they where all stiff I have had a lifter tick the whole time I have owned it but not a bad one I put some sea foam in the oil let it idle for 30 min drained it the oil was new when I added the sea foam and it came out black but now it ticks worse any ideas ?
It's got new cap ,rotor , plugs, air filter , I even sea formed the intake I have never had problems with it in the past so I am lost it has around 220,000 on the odo can any one help thanks thomas

It may have had some nice sludge in there that was basically "holding the engine together" that the Seafoam knocked loose. How's your oil pressure?

1996sport xj that's what I am thinking that its not getting oil on top it sounds bad and for my oil psi I don't know I have the stupid light on the dash it turns off when I start it when I had the valve cover off I started it and was getting oil to all of the rods on top.
Cruiser54 they was changed not to long ago but I am thinking of getting new ones and for oil and filter I have always used valvoline 10w30 with a fram filter but since I work in North Dakota it's kinda hard to get things so its been havoline 10w30 with a castle filter I now have a wix filter with valvoline I have changed my oil 3 times in a week after doing the valve cover gasket just to make sure I did not get stuff in the motor

Wix, Napa Gold, or Mopar filters.

Keep that wix filter on there to eliminate that as a possibility.

Yeah, the Orange Cans of Death don't work well on our XJ's. The anti-drainback valve causes dry starts. Keep the Wix filter. Also the Napa Gold and the Mopar filters are good too. As far as oil, any decent oil will do although a lot of people like Rotela. Just keep up on the regular oil changes.

Check the vacuum line to the MAP sensor and it's electrical plug.
Check to make sure the intake manifold bolts aren't loosened up.
As for the clutch, try this:
Pump the pedal about 40 times. Walk away for 10 minutes. Do it again.

Do not open the bleeder at all. All the pumping, and I mean 40 each time, brings elusive air bubbles up to the master cylinder and out of the slave.

Hey Slim, I just wanted to add, at least once I noticed my 90 sounded a little louder with fresh oil. Maybe the detergent has something to do with that, (HD is not Heavy Duty, it's High Detergent).....Also, following the forum for a bit, just disconnecting the battery overnight will cause your PCM to re-learn/reset. "lets the capacitors bleed down"
The low pedal....agreed, air should work it's way out, or a good bleeding should take care of it if nothing else is messed up.
Cruiser; "Check the vacuum line to the MAP sensor and it's electrical plug.
