new o-rings are about 2 bux from autozone. easy to pull apart and replace.
it's usually just the upper o-rings that need replaced.
on a side note, i got some 703 injectors from the junkyard for 10 bux. great shape, like freakin new. i just threw in new o-rings on top and better than ever.
just poke around the yard for someone that paid the cash to replace them just before they junked it. you might just get lucky.

Are the 703s Neon injectors? Are they truly a direct swap on a Renix? No need for harness adapters? I've asked about this before but no one had an answer.

Okay, good to know. I've got a friend out in the IE whose been wanting to make a JY trip out to Fontucky, somewhere, so I'll keep my eyes open for a suitable donor. Think I might yank the rail this afternoon and re-epoxy until my puny little tax check arrives. Better safe than... KABOOM.

On a side note, the PO gave me all of the maintenance receipts she had and one of them (from June 2011) was for replacing the injector o-rings. I'm guessing they did that because there was gas present around the injector(s), I'm also guessing the gas they detected was coming from the injector body and not the seals.

I ended up going it alone today at the JY(s). I hit up most of them within 20 miles and only scored four of the necessary six 703 injectors but they were only $2.50 each so I still left with a good feeling. What are your thoughts on swapping out four of them? Probably a bad idea, I know. Just don't want Heep catching fire :/
I'm kind of surprised at how few 4 cyl. Neons, Strati, Cirri, Sebrings, Breezes and Caravans have made their way to the scrap heap. Must be pretty reliable.
I only found two Cherokees, one was a 90 sport 2wd that had been gone over pretty well but I did score a $1 window crank so my passengers don't have to use that stupid Vise-Grip and I also picked up a full instrument cluster out of an '89 for $10. No sound bars or swing-out spares

Does anyone know if I should get o-rings for the Jeep injectors or the Neon injectors? Or does it matter?

I put these on my 703s. And they fit just fine. I just tried entering in your XJ information in Autozone and it said that these don't fit but I'm sure they will since I'm assuming your 703s wont be different than mine.
