I think I missed something..?
Hey guys,
So Ive done some much needed maintenance to the XJ lately...When I picked it up it ran VERY smooth. But almost everything needed replacement (plugs, wires, belt, air filter, dis. cap, oil.) So I hooked the battery back up, fired it up and it sounds like crap and as if it is struggling to run. When I give it some fuel it prolongs the noise and vibration.
Ive went over what I did and I know I didn't miss anything. Ive done this many many many times to other vehicles. copper top plugs are in, correct wires lined up properly from dis. cap, new air filter, belt is on correctly, oil is topped up and filter is on tightly.I grabbed all the right parts that respond to my '91 XJ so I ruled out the fact the guys at partsource screwed up.
That is all I have done for powerplant maintenance for now due to work scheduals.
Anyone have any ideas for me to check? Ive checked everything.. and am very confused because its such a simple task, but with adverse effects this time.
Thanks!

Not to sound like a jerk, but are you certin that you have the firing order correct? It will run if two spark plugs wires are crossed, but run they way you described it.
