i have a one jeep cherokee 1993 when i was cheeking the car engine i found hose not connected with the place in the car engine i want to know do there Problem of its non communication and this it is picture are illustrative

Hey I saw a pic on here of someone's engine bay that has the hose removed and had a filter coming from the valve on top of the valve cover.
Any ideas why this was done or what it improves.
Didn't mean to hijack thread, figured it was over.

that hose is to draw out crancase pressure with it disconnected the crankcas pressure can build at high speed and possibly blow oil out of the dip stick tube or any other weak gaskets that contain oil putting a filter on it inside the air box would be better than having it just laying there with one on it, it does not draw air in it is to draw air thru in the intake system
