Of coarse my sway bar is removed. How else would I get to flex like that. Um....when I take my jeeps offroad, I always disconect my sway bar. Dont you? Leaving the sway bar on is how you break stuff.
I mean absolutly no offense to you when I ask, how long have you been wheeling? Are you trying to build a mall crawler or a dd/trail rig? Is this your first attempt at putting on a lift kit?
I am just trying to get the big pic here. Its cool if you are new to this and you are asking questions to truely get info so you will be better informed when you do upgrade/ modify your jeep. And if this is your first lift kit I can undrestsnd buying a kit from a trustworthy source with step by step directions. Its very intemidating trying something like this for the first time.
But..........
If you are new to this than come out and say it. That way its easier explain what is actually important in offroading. Monster flex and rti scores dont mean sh@t if your on lions back in moab utah or the sand dunes in little sahara okc. or on the rubi trail in callie or your local offroad park and dont know what your doing because you didnt listen to the people who have been there befor.
My advice is to put a damn lift on(what ever it is) and go out and get some experance offroading. And listen to the people who have been there. Stop talking about what kind of lift your gunna get and just get one and put it on.
I responded to this post because it was about cheep lifts. I wasnt looking to debate wich lift is best. I was simply stating that this lift is cheep way to lift an xj. This works for me. Go out and find what works for you. But dont sit in front of you computer knocking what works for some people when you have mo actual trail experance to speek from. Asking questions is cool but I dont think this topic should of ever been up for debait.Reading about isnt the same as living it.
Go live it.

I have trail experience, but no lifting experience. I'm asking questions about this so I can make an informed decision. I wasn't knocking you, I'm just asking a lot of questions to make sure I fully understand everything involved. My plan for this rig is a DD/trail rig, and I mean no offense to anyone when I ask questions, I just sometimes play devil's advocate. I'm hearing a lot of people say different things, and I don't have enough spending power to go around trying everything in sight, as much as I may like to do this. I'm trying to decide which of these kits I will be happier with, since this is a long-term investment for me. I know that sounds stupid, but it has to be able to hold me through college.
