Black..IIRC mine is a little high for the 2000 ohm scale, (so my meter would just flash or show a 1) It needs a higher scale cold, but that's pointless. As soon as it starts warming it drops from 2000. If the sensor is reading 160F, it should show 450 ohms. If it ever got to 212* it should show 185 ohms. (same for both the IAT and the CTS). Mine only dips down into the 400 range. Might be correct, I have no way of knowing. I wouldn't expect my IAT to to get to 212*....my coolant only goes to 195* or so. The manifold out there with cool air coming through has to be allot cooler.
