Ideas for bumper cap trim 97+
Hey guys,
I'm running 31's on stock rims and OE fenders. I'd like to trim the bumper end caps...but since I have factory fogs, I'd like some ideas on what to trim and how. Also, if you look close, you can see very mild carnage on the passenger side bump stop. I wish I could say that was from wheelin' but it was just because some guy stopped short on me in a snow storm.
Maybe I can bend / pound it back when I'm in there.
Thanks!

I had the same issue, but got rid of the fogs since I had lights on the bumper.
I just used an angle grinder with a thin cutting wheel then cleaned up the edges with a utility knife. Took about 20 minutes. I'll be trimming my fenders this weekend, so that's why it's doesn't match the fender line right now.

Cut mine off flush with the bottom of the steel part of the bumper. Removed the center piece just by drilling out the rivets and cut the caps with a cut off wheel.

I've got fog lights on the bumper as well (see pic), but the switch for them just dangles down by my feet.
Then I could chop even like you guys and not worry about them.
Keep 'em coming guys. I'd really like to see a write-up if available for the "level" chop.

No, I just did new wiring. My fog light switch is dead and I didn't feel like bothering with it. I did a LED switch to the right of my gauges. The top switch is for my roof lights, the bottom is for the bumper lights.

Forgot to post up my end results in this thread...so here goes:
I ended up just getting some painters tape and messing around with it until I had the line shown in picture 1. Turned out almost exactly as I had hoped. Keep in mind I made the cuts with a cut off blade on my angle grinder, so I needed simple straight cuts. Thanks again for the ideas guys!
