idle air controle sensor

Post idle air controle sensor
If my my '91 is idling at 1200RPMs, would a bad IAC sensor be the cause of this problem? I just took off the TB and cleaned everything (removed IAC and cleaned) really well with TB and intake cleaner and its still idling above normal. When it was running, I disconected the IAC sensor to see what would happen and there was no change when unpluged.

Since you cleaned the IAC, I dont think thats your problem. I would start looking for vaccum leaks.

replaced the TPC a year ago so I didnt take it off when I cleaned the TB and IAC. could it just be a dead IAC sensor?

I'd check for vacuume leaks. it really dosint sound like a sensor issue. The intake gasket it common on the L6
