Default thanks for the responce

It has stalled, but the problem is intermittent.

When it first started stalling I was leaving the city and it died cold.
I started it again and it died again, held my foot on the gas started it again and was able to keep it running.

The next day, it ran fine.

A couple days later it stalled when I got in it to go to work, I got it to started it idled up and down almost like a vacuum leak.

But i can assure you after checking it's not a vacuum leak.

Other day I get in it will run great for a days to a week.

Yesterday I replaced the TPS and cleaned the throttle body and cleaned IAC valve of all carbon.

It was dirty but not as bad as I thought it would be.

thanks for the reply i think the CPS is located close to the bell housing at the back of the block. do you know exactly where it's located?

sounds like thats the next part to be replaced, when it starts acting up again.

i changed the TPS and cleaned IAC valve, and haven't had the issue but i'm waiting being i didn't think that was the issue in the first place but was one of the easier job i have done.

It's easier to get to it from underneath.

Cool

Your post says nothing about which engine you have.
If by chance you have the 4.7L there is a tsb on the Idle air control valve with an updated version available at the dealer.

well spent a couple of hours replacing the battery cables i had a hard time starting, like the battery was dead. moved the battery cables and it started no problem. i don't know if it was the crappy cables all a long but if its not i will know real soon.
