If you get a chance and it is not to much trouble could you post a shot?
More curious then anything else.
If your buddy does that what do you have to loose? LOL.
EDIT: Unless of course taking out yours might destroy it.
Just popped into my head after I posted.

Here is a picture I pulled off the internet. I think it came from somewhere on cherokeeforum.
It is an odd plug, its not a flat panel that it pops into.
That would be a major concern, as far as destroying it. Maybe at some point I will pull the back cover on the hatch and get a look at it from the inside. Perhaps it is just something that will push out without too much trouble. Worst case scenario I can always dab a little RTV to seal it back up.

Kinda looks like it does in the illustration in my '94 to '96 parts catalog.

I will call my buddy and get his opinion. If he prints a test one that comes out ok, maybe I can convince him to make a few of them.

If I have a part number takes 2 seconds to paste it into the search box on Ebay.
I am on Ebay every morning trying to do a thorough search for what I am looking for.
Not only in the US but try to search worldwide best I can.
Not mention checking in on what is for sale in the US periodically during the day.
Maybe some NOS shows up. That is why I ask for a part number if you have one.
On Craigslist I stop and look at the part outs. Some ads are better then others.
Sometimes they just show a picture of the outside of the Jeep. Sometimes show more pictures.
Maybe I spot the part somebody is looking for. That is why I asked for a picture if you can give me one.
Also any ad that might specifically list anything I am looking for.
Takes 2 seconds to click on an ad that might be a part one of you guys are looking for.
There are a couple websites where you can search all of Craigslist. They kinda suck.
Cause of that I literally search the lower 48 on a weekly basis. I have the country broken down into 7 states a day.
I check each section of each state. Takes me a week to do it.
Then I start looking all over again. LOL.
You would be surprised at what I found around the country and have had shipped to me.
I have found that 90% of the people I contact around the country are more then happy to work with me.
You have to understand that this is extra work on their part. They have to box it up, get quote, lot of back and forth, etc.

On my local CL I have someone selling about 5 different adj. track bars for $75 each. Someone has FREE stock brake lines. Theres about 4 or 5 XJs that are being "parted out", and I've seen some factory suspension components as well.

So you have days set aside for where you are searching?!?!?!?! Now that is getting serious!!! HAHAHAHA
Yeah you had talked about that a while back. While I haven't noticed it because I'm way down in Littleton and its up near Morrison, I believe its still going.
here is the latest info I could find on it.

And they did a restoration on it back in 2015.

I said this already. I search the lower 48 7 days a week.
I need some factory heated Camel XJ Seats.
Which I don't ever expect to find in good usable shape.
But it won't be for lack of trying. MLOL.

The stuff I do at work provides me with ample downtime while my test equipment is doing its thing, so I have time to search a lot too. Haven't ventured out of the Colorado CL page yet, but I suppose I should.
Even if I did find something I could use, having a 4 year old and a 19 month old running around the house terrorizing the German Shepherd doesn't give me a lot of time at home to install stuff though. Makes me a little nervous about installing my lift when the last few parts finally get here... I'll have to break it up into twenty-five 30min. work periods over a long weekend hahahahahha

I've been searching for a bottom cushion to my driver's side seat for my 2000 XJ with the grey interior and it's manual (not power operated). . I'd rather not buy the whole seat but if that's the only way I'll do it. But keep in mind my car has only 54k miles and the interior is extremely clean so I am looking for a nice cushion/seat that isn't ripped or stained. This is a picture of the seats in my car as a reference. Thanks tremendously in advance for any work you may put into this.

Welcome by the way.
So seat part numbers can be hard to determine sometimes.
But I believe for what you are looking for it is RG711AZAA.
While not cheap it appears that bottom and new foam can still be purchased from online Mopar retailers.
Which means that your local Jeep Dealership should be able to get one too.
They actually show pictures, which is kind of odd, for the part.
Google that part number so you can see what I can see.
So a couple things about this.
I think this is the right part but not sure.
If you were to order it make sure you put your VIN in where they ask.
They will check that it is the correct part and if it is not the right part but they send it to you anyway then you have a leg to stand on in case of a return.
Also sometimes inventory is wrong. So they say they have it, you order it, they whack you card immediately, email you saying they don't have it, and it takes about a week for a credit.
As far as trying to find this. Most likely any leads I would find would require shipping. Thinking that would be pretty savage for a whole seat.
They can separate the foam and cover bottom from the seat and shipping would obviously be less.
But chances of anybody doing that is pretty slim IMO. But it is one of those things you don't know till you ask.
Also for you own personal knowledge.
The color of that seat is Agate. That color "gray" for the seat can only be found in '99 to '01 XJ's.
In '97 and '98 the "gray" is called Mist Gray. Those you do not want. Would be a lighter "gray" and not match.
So I guess if I see any leads on Craigslist or Ebay I will have to post them here cause I can't PM you.
Finding one not ripped is going to be a little tough.
Also if you go the new route, and if your interior is in that good a shape if it were me I would consider it, let me know here on the thread.

I assumed he was talking about the seat cover being ripped and not the foam.
Now you have me wondering. LOL.
