Oh yeah now I remember those even more outrageously priced ones now.
I put them in my Watchlist on Ebay.
Not cause I am interested in them but more interested in if they get sold.
I think I got one of those "The seller has made you an offer" emails from Ebay.
Price was lowered to $175 I think.
Like that would make me jump right on that. LOL.

I think you already know this, but I need a fuel pump housing/assembly for my 96. If I can't get a Mopar one I may have to get a Crown or RockAuto one and swap in a better pump.

Thinking your only choice might be aftermarket.
It appears the part number for your '96 is 4798941.
I did find this:

https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f2/199...erence-201584/

Looks like the new part number is 5003869AA.
But nothing in Mopar seems to come up under that number either.

Thinking of making my first semi-annual boneyard trip tomorrow to just look around.
If the weather is nice that is.
I used to have 3 boneyards that were all customers of the store.
They pretty much just let me run wild in there. LOL.
Unfortunately 2 have closed.
But I still have the one and I got in the habit of showing up with a box of Dunkin' Donuts for my first visit of the year. LOL.
Plus I started going to another one but there I am just a regular customer.
Anyway thinking at least get to the first one and maybe the second one.
If anybody is looking for something let me know quick.
I will bring some tools just in case but betting no matter what I bring I will not have the tools to remove something I find that I do want right then and there.

if you can find it i need the lower driver side kick panel plastic where the hood pop is. I need a 99+ in tan as the earlier years tan is different. I’m pretty sure the nut to take it off is an 10-11 mm. Infinity tweeters and overhead console would be nice but not a necessity. Thank you

Will it come off without removing the hood release cable?
I will have some tools.
I will bring my suitcase Craftsman tool set.
Bunch of screwdrivers, vice grips, pliers, etc thrown in there too.
My sawzall, some 3M adhesive remover, and some dental floss.
Those last two are for the Limited badges on the doors if I find some. LOL.

Yes it is not connected to the hood release at all, it just slides right out. Thank you

Pickings were slim at both yards.
Could not find that interior piece. Or the tweeters and overhead.

Found a couple XJ's with Mist Gray interiors but the lower sill plates were broken.
Been trying to help BlueRidgeMark with that.

Found a couple ZJ overheads. Might grab one.
This guy here, Paul Standaert, took the computer out of one and put it in his XJ overhead.
He did cause they wording above each button is lighted so.....
Thought that would be kinda cool.

Couple XJ VINs to run.
Still looking for that 8.25 with a Trac Lok.
And also plenty of KJ VINs to run too.
Just the ones with rear discs. Want to see if any of those 8.25's are Trac Lok ones.

Did grab a rear hatch weather stripping piece.
Mine is kinda shot and this looks to be in really good shape.
They gave it to me for free.
Well I guess you could say it cost me $10.
What the donuts I brought cost. LOL.

Hey remember those tweeters?
Well it looks like they sold for $169.
If thought I could get that much for mine I would be tempted to say screw it and sell them. LOL.
Especially since I bought them sometime ago off Craigslist for $40 shipped from St. Louis.

So I thought I would say something here about sourcing parts.
I have sourced parts from all over the country and Europe for my XJ.
You would be surprised as to how many people are willing to work with you.
Sure you get denied sometimes but I want to say about 80% of the time things can be worked out.

At the moment I am looking for the lower part of a rear seat for third coast.
Higher end one and a little different then most you see.
I found a whole back seat on Ebay for him but the price is a little up there.
And all he needs is the bottom.
Now there is a make offer option on the listing on Ebay. So maybe he can work out a better price.
Also suggested that he contact the seller. Maybe he can get the seller to just sell him the bottom.
I also suggested that maybe he can get the seller to sell him just the cover.
Shipping just the cover would obviously cost less.
Now third coast also says the foam for the seat bottom is shot too.
But maybe he could find a piece of usable foam on his own in the boneyard to use.
My point is you just have to think it through a bit sometimes.
And ask. Cause while the Ebay seller might not be willing to sell just the bottom seat cover you won't know till you do.

Quick story.
The factory running boards on my XJ were a Craigslist find.
$75 in PA which is about a 600 mile round trip from me.
At the time I was a little unsure of driving my Jeep that distance. Now I would not hesitate too. LOL.
Anyway, so I am talking with the guy trying to figure out how we can work this out cause I really want them.
He says he does contract work in NY State and asks if that would help.
Just so happens that a customer of the Napa I work at is based in NY close to where the seller does contract work.
But in CT doing contract work.
So I ask our customer if he could help. He says sure. Just get the guy to drop them off at a place of business up there that he does business with.
And he will get them to me.
Everything worked out. The running boards were in almost perfect condition with the only thing being wrong with them is that they were green.
My Jeep is black. LOL.
Oh and when I did see the factory running boards pop up here and there the asking price was $250 and most times the metal supports for them were rotted.
For doing me this favor I bought our customer a 30 pack of Bud Light.
In my defense I would have bought better beer.
But from delivering there I used to see empty 30 packs of Bud Light around the shop.
So this is what they drank so that is what I bought. LOL.

So remember as my Grandfather used to say.
The only stupid question is one that is not asked.
So ask.
What is the worst that can happen? LOL.

reminds me of the whole 6 degrees of separation thing..... not as far as relation... but within 6 other people you can navigate to accomplish darn near anything.
