Ignition switch?
I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is hence the title but i wanted another opinion. When I turn my key in the ignition sometimes it'll turn all the way until the bit where you turn to start the car. Think OFF - ON - START. Would the ignition switch be to blame? If i force it, it will start but my A/C and radio do not work.

I'm not sure I understand your issue. Are you saying that when you turn the key it goes all the way to start (doesn't stop at 'ON') or that it won't go into 'START' unless you press really hard? Does your AC and Radio ever work? What makes you think their functionality is related to the ignition?

So you are saying that the mechanical movement is relatively ok, but some of the electrical stages are not happening part of the time. I would say that is the electrical part of the ignition switch as opposed to the lock part of it.

I think 93 is the same as my 88. The electrical part is on the column down by your foot. The mechanical part is what you put the key in. Meaning, if I don't have my years crossed up, you can fix this without taking the whole column apart.

it could be that. Im gonna have to tear into the column and look. When i force it, it makes a popping noise like it is pushing on something. You might be able to hear it on the video.

clearly the last people that owned it didn't know what it was because they spliced a wire from the positive battery cable and when it did this, they would tap the wire onto the battery post with the key in the ON position to start it.

Go DIRECTLY to the switch on the lower column.
That switch is burned, as is the connector where the brown wire is.
